where is this country heading to ?

atlast gettin inspired by many of my fellow friends,i m blogging now..........i dont know what will be the response....but i am writing watever is coming to ma mind.......forgive me for my small vocabulary and poor english.....i m trying to improve upon it.......lol..

while browsing thru one of my favourite communities on orkut i came thru a poll called "what would u do if u were eleceted as cm of ur state?"...............i was rather surprised by the response it had.............majority of the guys and gals voted for "modernisation" ,"fighting terror" and "building flyover and civil infrastructure" and there were no takers for issues like "poverty, education, happines index and hunger"....i dont know why people are responding in such manner....d only reason i find suggestive is that majority of public which voted in the polls was from "educated middle class" of the country and they are very excited about seeing a beautiful and modern country.....they think this is wat development stands for.....they live in cities and dream of cities.............dey think when country loses 50,000 jobs den it is a problem forgetting that every year thousands of poors commit suicide........... thousands die of hunger......millions of dem due to epidemics and bad civic utililities available...................

i have no grudge to anybody but i am worried for wat would happen when todays young generation becomes the next generation of the country.... i suspect then the country would land into a bigger poverty and stratification problem than today...nd d problem has no takers den.........

i am also a youngster and like evry other iitian i am very excited about the money too......but what i also believe is paying back to country what u have gained from.............dis is how the richer class of the society should respond for the country's sustainable development.

i genuinely think dis is d reason why youngster in the country appreciate people like modi and chandrababu naidu.............dey neva understand dat how much social differences ,policies of such governments have developed in a society.......dey dont think about the conflict it is leading towards................ i know this article might drive me into some controversy....... but i thought like i should start from the point which grief's me d most today........

it is very easy to convert mumbai into "shanghai" and delhi into "tokyo" but the point is that we have more important issues to solve today in dis country than doing this...i think if everybody is happy , it is more sattisfying than a place where lower sections of the society are tortured and ill-treated.........its very easy for a government to invest everything into a city and make it shanghai but it wont ever pay for mumbai cause it has its share of slums too.........what would happen to them.....they would be thrown out of the city and the situation worsens when they drive into crime..............

i liked a recent movie of naseeruddin shah called "barah aana" ..it talked about the same issue i am discussing here today............if u havent watched it...do watch it today...it clearly signifies whats happening in our society dese days and where is the society heading towards..........a place where nobody is happy and everybody is after money........th richer exploits poor and the poor in return drives into crime and tries to take revenge from everybody who exploited dem.....finally landing into a place of no return "prison cells".................

i still think there's hope of youth changing its attitude towards society and its development.....
otherwise i dont see a nice place for the country to be heading...atlast we become blind followers of money and no respect for values and morals of our culture.......

hope this changes soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
